What factors are related to the quality of mobile phone signals?

1、 Technically speaking, the quality of mobile phone signals is related to the following factors:
1. The location distribution of base stations (i.e. transmission towers for mobile communication), such as outdoor stations on rooftops or mountain tops, or indoor distributed systems. The closer the antenna is to the user, the better the signal;
2. It is related to the height, pitch angle, and azimuth angle of the antenna, and the more the antenna is pointing towards where you are, the better the signal;
3. It is related to the transmission power of the base station. The higher the transmission power, the better the received signal; The above is the relationship between terminal settings and signals;
4. The quality of the phone itself determines the quality of your signal;
5. The location you are in determines the quality of your signal, such as in low-lying areas, subways, basements, etc., or in densely populated areas with thick cement walls, your phone signal will be relatively poor. On the contrary, in rooftops and open areas, the signal will be good.
2、 The meaning of various icons for mobile phone signals
1. Let's first talk about the most intuitive phone signal icons. In the phone interface, we usually see the following icons, so what do they mean?
Mobile signal G (iPhone uses O) refers to GPRS, which is a 2.5G network.
Mobile signal E refers to the EDGE network, which belongs to 2.75G.
Mobile signal 3G refers to a regular 3G network with speeds ranging from 2-7M.
Mobile signal H refers to the upgraded version of the 3G hsdpa network, which is 3.5G and can reach a speed of 14.4M.
Mobile signal H+refers to the upgraded version of hsdpa hspa+, which is 3.75G and can reach speeds of 21M-42M.
Furthermore, it is the current 4G and 4G+networks.
What does the number of cell phone signal cells represent?
In fact, we often find that the icon of a mobile phone signal can sometimes be full, sometimes even one or two cells. Speaking of this, the number of cells in the phone actually represents the strength of the signal.
Android defines two signal units: dBm and asu.
The relationship between them is: dBm=-113+2 * asu, which is a unique signal unit defined by Google for Android phones.
For example, if my signal strength is -53dBm, it corresponds to 30asu, because -53=-113+(2 * 30).
ASU: An independent signal unit, which is an analog signal. ASU only represents the rate at which the phone transmits its position to nearby signal towers. It measures the same thing as dBm, but it is represented in a more linear way.
DBm: is a value representing the absolute value of power (which can also be considered as a ratio based on 1mW power), calculated as 10log (power value/1mw).
If the power P is 1mw, converted to dBm, it is 0dBm.
For a power of 0.01mW, the converted value in dBm units should be: 10log (0.01/1)=-20dBm.
The higher this value, the better the signal. Due to the generally low signal strength of mobile phones, converted to dBm, it is generally negative.
Generally, the signal strength of mobile phones can be viewed in the "Settings About Mobile Phone Signal" section.
Here, everyone should also understand that in general, the following data units are: dBm (only for Android)
-Between 30-50, the signal is excellent,
-Between 50-60, the signal is very good,
-Between 60 and -70, the signal is good,
-Between 70 and -80, the signal is weak,
-Between 80 and 90, the signal is very weak,
-Between 90 and 100, the signal is very weak,
-After 100, communication is basically impossible.
Remember: don't get mixed up, negative values are greater than smaller, for example: -2<-1
